The invention relates to a power transmission device for fishing vessels made of fiber reinforced plastic, particularly to a tail shaft cooling device for yachts made of fiber reinforced plastic. The tail shaft cooling device is characterized in that a tail shaft between an A-shaped bracket and a propeller hub is covered by a protective sleeve; the A-shaped bracket is connected with one side of the protective sleeve through a flange; at least two symmetrical bulges with blades are arranged on the other side of the protective sleeve; a water permeable hole is formed in the rear end of the protective sleeve; one end of a water guide tube is inserted in the water permeable hole and the other end of the water guide tube is connected with the outlet of a water pump fixed on the A-shaped bracket. According to the invention, during the rotation of the tail shaft, a bearing is cooled in the way that the water pump on the A-shaped bracket injects water in the protective sleeve through the guide tube and the injected water takes away the heat of the tail shaft and the bearing and is discharged from the gap of the protective sleeve. The tail shaft cooling device has the advantages that the production and mounting are convenient, the use is safe, the heat dissipation effect is good, the tail shaft can be effectively protected against the winding of ropes, fishing nets and seaweed, and the like.
