Zusammenfassung:	Provided are a medical image management system, a medical image management method and a program which enable a density-converted medical image to be rapidly displayed in a client terminal. A medical image management system has a first density conversion mode in which a medical image is subjected to density conversion processing in an image server and a density-converted medical image is transmitted to a client terminal, and a second density conversion mode in which the medical image is transmitted from the image server to the client terminal and the medical image is subjected to the density conversion processing in the client terminal. A density conversion mode determination unit compares a processing time in the first density conversion mode and a processing time in the second density conversion mode, which have been calculated on the basis of the communication speed between the image server and the client terminal, the processing speed of the client terminal, and the processing speed of the image server, and selects the density conversion mode in which the processing time is shorter.
