Terminal and touch method thereof

The invention relates to the technical field of electronics and discloses a terminal and a touch method thereof. The terminal comprises a fingerprint recognition key; the fingerprint recognition key is capable of operating the terminal to finish predefined tasks according to a distance at which a user's finger moves on the fingerprint recognition key. The touch method includes: periodically receiving fingerprint information of the user's finger on the fingerprint recognition key, and acquiring fingerprint features in the fingerprint information each time the fingerprint information of the user's finger is received; according to positional information of the fingerprint features acquired in the preset period, calculating displacements of the fingerprint features during the preset period which is longer than a receiving period of the fingerprint information; according to magnitudes and directions indicated by the displacements of the fingerprint features, controlling the terminal to finish the predefined tasks. The terminal and the touch method thereof are applied to finishing the predefined tasks via the fingerprint recognition key, such as functions of moving a cursor or an image in various directions, scrolling a screen, turning pages and turning on or off the terminal.
