The invention discloses a volute of an extractor hood. The volute comprises a volute front plate, a volute rear plate, a volute flange and a volute coaming which connects the volute front plate and the volute rear plate, wherein guide air inlets are formed in the volute front plate and the volute rear plate; the volute rear plate can be fixedly connected with a motor; the volute coaming connects the volute front plate and the volute rear plate together through a similar spiral of Archimedes. The assembled volute assembly is further matched with associated impellers and motors, so that the airflow rate and pressure and whole-pressure efficiency of a fan system can be remarkably improved.
