The vehicle model switching device comprises mounting base and vehicle model switching units arranged on the mounting bases, each vehicle model switching unit comprises a motor mounting frame, a driving mechanism, a driving motor, a rotating shaft and an opposite-inserting switching mechanism, each motor mounting frame is slidably arranged, each driving mechanism is used for providing a driving force to the corresponding motor mounting frame, each driving motor is arranged on the corresponding motor mounting frame, each rotating shaft is arranged on the corresponding motor mounting frame and receives a driving force provided by the corresponding driving motor, each opposite-inserting switching mechanism is arranged on the corresponding rotating shaft, and at least one pin cylinder and multiple positioning blocks are arranged on each opposite-inserting switching mechanism. Different tools carried on the opposite-inserting switching mechanisms are positioned through the opposite-inserting switching mechanisms or matching with vehicle body positioning holes is realized through the pin cylinders to realize differentiation and recognition of different vehicle models so as to achieve the objective of vehicle model switching. The vehicle model switching device can meet requirements, on multiple-vehicle-model flexible line mixing, of welding production lines, workshop space is utilized reasonably, and various vehicle models share a conveying system, so that equipment arrangement space is reduced.
