Zusammenfassung:	The invention relates to a torsional vibration damper (1) comprising an input part (2) and an output part (8), and a friction ring (13) that has a frictional surface (14). Said friction ring with the frictional surface is arranged opposite to, and in frictional contact with, a frictional surface of the input or output part, and said friction ring is non-rotatably connected to the output or input part with or without clearance. Said friction ring has an arm (16, 42) which protrudes from said ring and lies, under pre-tension, on the output or input part such that the frictional surface of the friction ring impinges counter to the complementary frictional surface of the input or output part.
