Zusammenfassung:	The invention provides a light irradiation apparatus which can appropriately cool a light source and a polarizing film unit. In the light irradiation apparatus (1), a framework (3) of a light irradiator (2) receives a reflector (5) and a light source (4); a light emitting opening part (3A) of the framework (3) is provided with a light transmission part (6,7) and a polarizing film unit (10); a light source cooling path (30) between the reflector (5) and the light source (4), and a space cooling path (40) between the light transmission part (6,7) and the polarizing film unit (10) are independent, so that the light source (4) and the polarizing film unit (10) can be cooled respectively.
