The online detection system is characterized by comprising a background management device and a detection device which is arranged on a power transmission line tower, wherein the detection device comprises a main controller, a power supply, a first wireless transmission device, an alarm device, a camera, a microwave avian detector, a range finder, a detector and a variety of sensors for acquiring statuses of the power transmission line; the background management device comprises a management terminal and a second wireless transmission device connected with the management terminal; the first wireless transmission device, the alarm device, the camera, the microwave avian detector, the range finder and the sensors are all connected with the main controller, the first wireless transmission device and the second wireless transmission device are in communication connection, the detector is connected with the range finder, and the power supply is used for supplying power to various components of the detection device. The online detection system has the advantage that the online detection on the safety of the power transmission line is realized.
