The invention relates to the field of industrial application of electrolytic aluminum and in particular discloses a cathode aluminum bar for electrolytic aluminum. The cathode is made of an aluminum bar, the aluminum bar is square or circular, one or more straight, disk-shaped or U-shaped cooling pipelines are formed in the aluminum bar, and a cooling medium is filled in each cooling pipeline. The cathode aluminum bar for electrolytic aluminum disclosed by the invention has the advantages of reducing the power consumption of electrolytic aluminum and generating no forced shutdown resulting from that the cathode has no conducting bar, thereby greatly prolonging the service life of an electrolytic cell, reducing the investment, saving the cost and increasing the benefit. After the aluminum bar is used, the quality or the original molten aluminum can not be influenced by the fusion of an original steel bar.
