Method for welding roller for towing engine

The invention discloses a method for welding a roller for a towing engine, and belongs to the technical field of ship engineering. The welding method includes the steps that lateral plate assemblies are welded to first plate faces of lateral plates; the lateral plates are installed at one end of a roller body, and second plates faces of the two lateral plates are oppositely arranged; a plurality of horse plates are evenly installed and welded to to-be-welded positions of the lateral plates and one end of the roller body in the circumferential direction of the roller body, and the two ends of each horse plate are welded to the lateral plates and one end of the roller body respectively; a tubular rigid tool is arranged between the second plate faces of the two lateral plates, the axis of the tubular rigid tool and the axis of the roller body are parallel, and the length of the tubular rigid tool is equal to the distance between the two lateral plates; the two lateral plates are welded to the two ends of the roller body; the horse plates and the tubular rigid tool are removed from the roller for the towing engine through carbon arc gouging. Welding deformation of the roller for the towing engine is controlled.
