System and method for monitoring faults of brake clamp of monorail vehicle

The invention belongs to the technical field of railway electronics, and relates to a system and a method for monitoring brake faults of a monorail vehicle. The system comprises a monitoring control terminal and at least one pressure detecting unit, wherein each pressure detecting unit comprises an electronic brake control unit (EBCU) and a detecting terminal; each carriage is provided with the corresponding independent pressure detecting unit; each detecting terminal comprises a pressure switch arranged at a position of an exhaust hole of a brake oil cylinder of a corresponding bracket; each pressure switch is connected to the corresponding electronic brake control unit (EBCU) to form a 110V detecting access; and the electronic brake control unit (EBCU) of each pressure detecting unit is connected to a monitoring control terminal arranged in a control room. The alarming pressure of the pressure switches and the turn-off time of the 110V detecting accesses are set through the monitoring control terminal; and when brake instructions are not sent, a pressure value of the pressure switch of a certain brake detecting unit is greater than the alarming pressure, the corresponding 110V detection access is switched off, and a brake fails if the switching-off time of the corresponding 110 detection access is longer than 8 seconds.
