Acquiring and synchronous display method and system for combined desktop

The invention provides acquiring and synchronous display method and system for a combined desktop. The method comprises the steps of acquiring DVI (Digital Video Interactive) images from each path through an acquiring end; setting a timestamp pts of each frame into the time that a field synchronizing signal of the frame appears; encoding the DVI image of each path and outputting a code stream; decoding and caching the code stream through a display end to form a plurality of cache arrays; determining whether to display the first frame of each cache array according to the current system time and the timestamp; if not, waiting; if displaying, displaying the frame at a corresponding area of the combined desktop, and then deleting the frame from the head of the array, so as to really recover a combined desktop signal. With the adoption of the system and method, the requirements on display links can be reduced, the cost can be reduced, and the DVI image of each path can be really recovered based on the display time.
