APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR ACTIVE AND PASSIVE DATA GATHERING USING STOCHASTIC MODEL IN CONTROL NETWORK

There is provided an apparatus and method. A cache unit stores collects data from a local device connected through an equipment control network to form a cache data time; an active and passive synchroning unit performs a first gathering operation in which a data request frame is transmitted via the control network and data on the local devices is gathered and then stored as a cache data item, and a second gathering operation in which a communication frame is listened to through the equipment control network, data on the local devices is gathered and then stored as a cache data itme, and a first gathering operation schedule for each cache data item is determined based on an expected delay time estimated using a stochastic model for the second gathering operation process when the first gathering operation is not performed and the cache data itme is waited to be updated through waiting the second gathering operation; and an active and passive media acess unit obtains data from a the frame received through the equipment control network and transmits the data to the synchroning unit, and the frame about data of the local device of the equipment control network is transmitted and collected according to the request.
