Zusammenfassung:	The invention discloses a pulse width modulation method for a three-level photovoltaic inverter and a modulator. The method comprises the steps that a discontinuous space vector pulse width modulation mode is used as a default pulse width modulation mode of the three-level photovoltaic inverter; when it is detected that the three-level photovoltaic inverter has potential safety hazards, the pulse width modulation mode of the three-level photovoltaic inverter is switched, and the pulse width modulation mode of the three-level photovoltaic inverter is switched back to the discontinuous space vector pulse width modulation mode until it is determined that the three-level photovoltaic inverter does not have potential safety hazards. Accordingly, some failure or abnormality problems in the operation process of the three-level photovoltaic inverter are effectively solved.
