The invention provides a touch panel. The touch panel comprises a substrate, a composite layer, a sensing layer and a signal lead, wherein the substrate has a visible area and an invisible area; the composite layer is arranged on the invisible area; the composite layer comprises a color layer and a light-shielding layer; the sensing layer is arranged on the visible area, and extends to a part of the invisible area; the sensing layer is in direct contact with the substrate in the visible area; the signal lead is arranged on the composite layer. The invention further provides a manufacturing method of the touch panel. By adopting the touch panel and the manufacturing method thereof, the risk of fracture of the sensing layer on the side edge of the composite layer can be effectively avoided.
