The invention discloses an idling reverse gear engaging flameout preventing device of an engine for an electronic control ship. The idling reverse gear engaging flameout preventing device comprises a ship forward gear signal terminal and a ship reverse gear signal terminal, the two of which are used for acquiring twinkling signals of a gear box before actual gear engagement after a gear engaging handle is operated by the ship operating personnel, respectively, a pressure signal conversion unit, an ECU air-conditioning idling signal pin and a high-level voltage signal terminal, and a time-delay relay switch, wherein the input end of the pressure signal conversion unit is connected with the ship forward gear signal terminal and the ship reverse gear signal terminal; the pressure signal conversion unit is used for converting the gear engaging signals acquired by the ship forward gear signal terminal and the ship reverse gear signal terminal. The idling reverse gear engaging flameout preventing device guarantees that the engine is capable of bearing larger-torque power output at the moment of reversing the ship by engaging the idling reverse gear, and therefore, the purpose of preventing idling reverse gear engaging flameout of the ship is achieved.
