The ion generation element (100) includes a high voltage-side circuit substrate (130) provided with a first discharge electrode (152a), a second discharge electrode (152b) and a step-up transformer, and includes a casing (101) which houses these. The driving unit (200) includes a low voltage-side circuit substrate (210) provided with a power supply circuit. The high voltage-side circuit substrate (130) includes a first land (131) electrically connected to the step-up transformer, and the low voltage-side circuit substrate (210) includes a second land (211) electrically connected to the power source circuit. The casing (101) has a window (114a) exposing the first land (131), and in the state in which the portion of the low voltage-side circuit substrate (210) where the second land (211) is provided overlaps the ion generation element (100), the first land (131) and the second land (211) are electrically connected.
