Zusammenfassung:	The invention relates to a heat exchanger, notably a motor vehicle engine charge air cooler, the heat exchanger comprising a casing (11) provided with a heat exchange core (3), a header (13) for collecting a coolant circulating through said heat exchange core and a collector plate (15) that forms a lateral wall of the heat exchanger casing and of the coolant manifold, said collector plate (15) being provided with orifices (27) communicating with coolant circulation ducts of the core, the collector plate (15) comprising a planar connecting part (33a, 35a) secured to said coolant header (13) on opposite edges, referred to as peripheral edges, of said orifices (27), said planar connecting part (33a, 35a) being contiguous with at least one of said peripheral edges.
