Piston ring machining method

Disclosed is a piston ring machining method. The method comprises the steps of (1) selecting a steel belt corresponding to a piston ring in thickness, wherein the steel belt is provided with two or more parallel surfaces; (2) cutting the corresponding surfaces of the steel belt to form a cross-section shape needed by the piston ring; (3) forming the cut steel belt to be in the shape of the piston ring; (4) conducting heat treatment on the formed piston ring to obtain the fished piston ring. The piston ring machining method is small in machining amount, wide in applicable material range and low in production cost, and the technical product requirement can be easily met.
