Zusammenfassung:	The invention provides a power device and a control method thereof and an MR (magnetic resonance) system. The power device comprises AC/DC (alternating current/direct current) switching circuit and an output voltage control circuit. The AC/DC switching circuit is used for switching the AC voltage, externally provided for the power device, into DC voltage and outputting the switched DC voltage to load. According to a preset scanning protocol, the output voltage control circuit determines drive current required by operation of the load, compares the determined drive current with the maximum current output of the AC/DC switching circuit and controls the AC/DC switching circuit based on the comparison result to change output voltage of the AC/DC switching circuit. Thus scanning execution time of the MR system is prolonged, and hardware cost is lowered.
