A point pattern recorder is provided with a recording paper driving part used for sending out recording paper, an ink ribbon driving part used for moving ink ribbons that are different in color gamut in the width direction to the direction along which the recording paper is sent out, a storage device and a recorder pen driving part, wherein the ink ribbon driving part can be used for switching recording colors that are distributed to all test passageways, the storage device is used for storing the following positions as recording position data, the positions are a position used for recording first data representing test values of the test passageways on the recording paper and a position used for recording second data representing words relevant to the test passageways on the recording paper, the recording pen driving part is used for moving a recording pen in a direction orthotropic to the direction along which the recording paper is sent out, and the ink ribbons are moved onto the recording paper for printing on the basis of the recording position data stored in the storage device.
