Zusammenfassung:	The present invention provides an adhesive applying device and method, and a display device member manufacturing apparatus and method, which can inhibit partial change of the temporary hardening state of an adhesive applied to a workpoiece and therefore prevents degradation of bonding quality. An adhesive applying device (1) applies an adhesive (R), which can be hardened by UV light irradiation, to a cover panel, i.e. a workpiece (S) constituting a display device, and includes: an applying unit (10) which applies the adhesive (R) to the workpiece (S) while moving relative to the workpiece (S); and an irradiating unit (11) which, according to the change of relative speed of the applying unit (10) to the workpiece (S), radiates UV light in a manner that the irradiation amount per unit area of the adhesive (R) applied to the workpiece (S) is constant.
