Zusammenfassung:The invention discloses a new Gemini quaternary ammonium salt and a preservative containing the quaternary ammonium salt and a bactericide. The structure of the Gemini quaternary ammonium salt is shown in a formula 4 in the specification. The preservative comprises the Gemini quaternary ammonium salt disclosed by the invention and at least one bactericide selected from 1-bromo-3-chloro-5,5-dimethyl hydantoin and 2,-bromo-2-nitro-1,3-propylene glycol. The preservative disclosed by the invention has effects of rapid sterilization and long-term sterilization. In the formula 4, y is an integer from 0 to 4, n is an integer from 3 to 15, and X is halogen selected from Br, Cl and I.
