The method for carrying out the data transmission in the browser comprises the following steps of receiving an operation instruction for transmitting information to be transmitted in a first browser of a source terminal to a second browser of a target terminal, wherein the operation instruction carries an only identity mark of the target terminal; responding the operation instruction and sending the information to be transmitted and the only identity mark of the target terminal to the server to transmit the information to be transmitted to the second browser of the target terminal marked by the only identity mark by the server. With the adoption of the method, data transmission of the browsers between different terminal equipment can be realized.
