Noise identification device and noise identification method

Provided are a noise identification device and a noise identification method which are able to automatically identify, by a simple system, whether or not measured noise is affected by other-than-object noise. A noise identification device is provided with: a sound detection unit (11) which is provided with a plurality of microphones and/or particle velocity sensors; a sound source direction specification unit (12) which, on the basis of the result of detection by the sound detection unit (11), specifies the instantaneous direction of a sound source at each unit time; a variation degree calculation unit (13) which, in a period set longer than the unit time, calculates the variation degree among the plurality of instantaneous directions specified by the sound source direction specification unit (12); and an other-than-object noise determination unit (14) which, on the basis of the variation degree calculated by the variation degree calculation unit (13), determines the presence or absence of other-than-object noise that affects the measurement of object noise coming from a noise source that is subject to measurement.
