The invention discloses a special sand applying process and equipment for a diamond wire saw. The special sand applying process specifically comprises the following: step a, pretreatment, placing a metal wire in a degreasing solution, a first rinsing solution, a rust removal solution and a second rinsing solution sequentially to remove oil and rust on the metal wire; and step b, sand applying, placing the pretreated metal wire in a vertical sand applying device and a horizontal sand applying device which are filled with diamond sand sequentially for applying sand, and making the diamond wire saw. The special sand applying process and equipment provided by the invention can effectively compensate for the defects of the prior art, the quality of the diamond wire saw is effectively improved through the vertical sand applying method and equipment, the processing efficiency is effectively improved, and the processing cost is reduced.
