Handheld grass cutter

The invention discloses a handheld grass cutter which comprises a main body portion, a work portion and a drive motor, wherein the main body portion extends longitudinally, the work portion is connected with the main body portion and used for trimming grass and trees, and the drive motor drives the work portion to move. The main body portion comprises a hollow tube, a handheld portion at the top end of the tube, and a machine shell at the bottom end of the tube. The drive motor is contained in the machine shell. The handheld portion is provided with a first air inlet used for cooling the drive motor, and the machine shell is provided with a second air inlet which is opposite to the drive motor and used for cooling the drive motor. When the drive motor works and air enters the machine shell from the second air inlet to cool the drive motor, the air can also enter the machine shell from the first air inlet through the tube to cool the drive motor. Once the air inlet in the machine shell is blocked by grass clippings, air will enter the machine shell from a handle to cool the drive motor, and accordingly the burning fault caused due to the fact that the drive motor can not be cooled does not occur.
