Zusammenfassung:A server (1) for transmitting MPEG-DASH standard content to a client (2) is provided with: a processing amount measurement unit (23) that measures the processing amount of the server (1); an event information addition unit (24) that, when the processing amount is equal to or greater than a prescribed value, generates acquisition-source-switch instruction information that instructs a switch from the content acquisition source to another content transmission device; and a content transmission unit (22) that transmits segment data and the acquisition-source-switch instruction information. Optimal adaptive streaming in real time is thus executed.
