The invention provides a method and a device for constructing a widget library. The method comprises the following steps: obtaining a first widget library of which a font style is A; according to each widget in the first widget library and a character independently corresponding to each widget, establishing a character widget attribute table; obtaining a second widget library of which the font style is B; and according to the contour information of the character in the second font library, combining with the character widget attribute table to obtain the contour information of the widget of the character in the second widget library to finally generate a widget library of the second font library. Correspondingly, the invention provides a device for constructing the widget library. The construction efficiency of the widget library can be effectively improved, and the workload of manual development is lightened.
