The invention discloses a cold chamber die casting machine and a mould for the cold chamber die casting machine. The mould comprises a movable mould (1) and a fixed mould (2), wherein a molding cavity (11) is formed in the movable mould (1); the fixed mould (2) comprises a shunt nozzle (21) and a pouring gate (22) communicated between the shunt nozzle (21) and the molding cavity (11) by fluid, wherein the pouring gate (22) has a circular cross section, and the diameter of the pouring gate (22) is gradually reduced along the direction from the shunt nozzle (21) to the molding cavity (11); a circular sprue (23) is formed at an outlet of the pouring gate (22); a gas collection cavity (3) is arranged at the rear of the molding cavity (11); the gas collection cavity (3) is communicated with the molding cavity (11) and the outside by fluid. The magnesium alloy products manufactured by the mould provided by the invention are better in quality and higher in yield; furthermore, the phenomena of sand holes and cold shut emerging in the products can be reduced.
