Washing machine

A washing machine comprises: a main body; an outer tub which is disposed within the main body; an inner tub which is rotatably positioned in the outer tub and which has an aperture part; an outer mounted cover (24) which is disposed upon the upper part of the inner tub; a clothing insertion aperture part which is disposed in the outer mounted cover (24) and wherethrough clothing is inserted; an outer lid (28) which opens and closes the clothing insertion aperture part; and a ventilation port (30) which is disposed on the lateral face side of the outer lid (28). Air is ventilated in the inner tub via the ventilation port (30). Accordingly, the washing machine capable of performing efficient ventilation within the outer tub, preventing leakage of water, dust, etc., from the ventilation port to within the inner tub, and being superior in exterior appearance quality can be obtained.
