The method includes the steps: acquiring weather forecast local real-time temperature and recording the local real-time temperature as first real-time temperature; acquiring air return temperature of an outdoor unit when an air conditioner is not started and recording the air return temperature as first air return temperature; acquiring the difference between the first real-time temperature and the first air return temperature of the outdoor unit, taking an absolute value of the difference recording the absolute value as an absolute value of a first difference; controlling a wireless communication module to send a prompting message to a network server if the absolute value of the first difference is larger than or equal to a first preset value. The mounting position of the outdoor unit is normative if the absolute value of the first difference is smaller than the first preset value, and the prompting message comprises a message of mounting position de-normalization of the air-conditioning outdoor unit. By the aid of the technical scheme, outdoor air-conditioning unit mounting position normalization can be automatically judged, and judging efficiency is improved.
