Electric axle for a vehicle

The aim of the invention is to design an electric axle for a vehicle that operates more smoothly. Said aim is achieved by an electric axle (1) for a vehicle (2), comprising an electric motor (6), a reduction gear section (7), a power divider differential gear (8), two output shafts (9a, b), and a compensation mechanism (10). The electric motor (6), the power divider differential gear (8), and the two output shafts (9a, b) run coaxial with a main transmission axis (13). The electric motor (6) generates a driving torque which is reduced by the reduction gear section (7) and is distributed to the two output shafts (9a, b) via the power divider differential gear (8). The power divider differential gear (8) is designed as a differential planetary gear set, and the compensation mechanism (10) is effectively connected to the power divider differential gear (8) via a shaft device (30) that runs coaxial with the main transmission axis (13). The compensation mechanism (10) makes it possible to modify a difference in the speed and/or torque of the output shafts (9a, b).
