Switch

A switch, especially a switch used for operating an electropneumatic parking brake of a motor vehicle, comprises a housing, an operation element held on the housing in a mode of being able to swing and a switch device provided with at least one electric switch element. The operation element can swing from a non-operation state to at least one operation state relative to the housing. The at least one switch element can be operated dependent on swinging of the operation element. The switch is provided with a reset device. The operation element can shift from the non-operation state to at least one operation state against the effect of the reset device. To provide the switch with a more compact and simpler structure, the operation element can be supported on the housing around a swing axis in a mode of being able to swing and being coupled with a swinging arm. The reset device is placed at a position, away from the swing axis for a certain distance, and applies a rest force in a mode of cooperating with the swinging arm. An accommodating chamber forms in the housing. A switch device is accommodated in the accommodating chamber. The reset device and the operation element are arranged on the opposite side surfaces of the switch device.
