Electric connector

The invention provides a connector terminal capable of preventing poor conduction caused by foreign materials and an electric connector. The connector terminal (3) includes a front contact-point portion (4c) that wipes off foreign material by slidingly contacting a plug terminal (2a) and a rear contact-point portion (5c) that is conductively connected with the plug terminal (2a). The front contact-point portion (4c) has a sliding edge (4d) that slidingly contacts the plug terminal (2a). The rear contact-point portion (5c) includes a contact edge (5e) that is thinner than the sliding edge (4d), has a sliding width (L1) that is less than that of the sliding edge (4d), and is conductively connected with the plug terminal (2a) by passing a sliding path (4d2) of the sliding edge (4d). Therefore, it becomes less likely for the contact edge (5e) to contact foreign material adhered to a portion other than portions at the sliding path (4d2). Thus, conduction failure can be prevented. In addition, by providing the connector terminal (3), it is possible to provide a socket (1) that can similarly prevent conduction failure caused by foreign material.
