The heat insulating board for the casting die is prepared from the raw materials in parts by weight: 15-25 parts of high-temperature ceramic fibers, 50-70 parts of quartz sand, 4-6 parts of clay, 4-6 parts of starch binder and 5-10 parts of ceramic hollow spheres. The heat insulating board for the casting die, provided by the invention, has the advantages that the burning point of organic matters in the heat insulating board is increased, the content of substances with low melting points is reduced, and the volume stability of the heat insulating board in a high-temperature state is guaranteed.
