Zusammenfassung:A filter element of a filter for filtering fluid has a multilayer filter medium (112) through which the fluid flows in a flow direction from an inflow side to an outflow side of the filter medium for filtration. The filter medium (112) has several layers including at least one filtration layer (132) and at least one support layer (134). The at least one support layer (134) supports the filter medium (112) against pressures having pressure gradients transverse or oblique to the flow direction (26) of the fluid through the filter medium (112).
