The invention discloses a system and a method for automatically sensing user intentions by icons. The method comprises the following steps that 1, a display module displays a plurality of icons on a touch screen interface; 2, after a sensing switch module detects that the current touch action accords with a preset touch action, and enters an icon sensing pattern; 3, a touch point moving detection module detects the sliding direction of a touch point on a touch screen; 4, an icon trend movement module adjusts the distance among the icons according to the detected sliding direction. According to the system and the method, the icons automatically sense the user intentions, head for the finger of a user to move according to the user intentions, and are conveniently touched and clicked by the user.
