Projection apparatus and method for accelerating ray machine to achieve thermal balance

The invention provides a projection apparatus. A ray machine is used for conducting a light beam emitted by a light source to a lens. The projection apparatus further comprises a detection unit and a processing unit. The detection unit is used for detecting whether to light the light source. The processing unit is used for controlling the light beam that the ray machine conducts to the lens. When the detection unit detects that the light source is powered on and lighted, the processing unit enables the ray machine to form a normal image and a full-black image to an image area in an alternating mode by a first frequency until first predetermined time is reached, and the processing unit enables the ray machine to project the normal image to the image area through the lens by a second frequency, the second frequency being smaller than the first frequency.
