The invention provides a clamping device for an automobile panel dent resistance test and relates to a testing method using the clamping device. Multiple T-shaped grooves (2) are formed in a base (1) of the clamping device, a clamping plate (4) is installed at the lower end of each clamping rod (3) of the clamping device, a positioning bolt (5) is arranged on each clamping plate (4) to enable the corresponding clamping plate (4) to be fixedly connected with the corresponding T-shaped groove (2), a clamping head is arranged at the upper end of each clamping rod (3), and a clamping port (7) is formed in each clamping head (6). By the adoption of the clamping device and the testing method, adjustment and fixation of the positions of the clamping rods and the T-shaped grooves in the base can be achieved conveniently and quickly, adjustment of relative positions of the multiple clamping rods and the distance between the clamping rods can be achieved, and the automobile panel dent resistance test can be achieved conveniently, accurately and efficiently.
