Zusammenfassung:The invention relates to a flat commutator (10) having contact lamellae (20), which are spaced apart from each other and are arranged in a first body (12) consisting of an electrically insulating material in such a manner that they form a flat brush running surface (21) in the axial direction. The flat commutator (10) according to the invention is characterized in that the flat commutator (10) has a second body (14) consisting of an electrically insulating material having contact segments (16) which run around the edge radially and are spaced apart from each other, wherein each of the contact segments (16) is provided at an axial section with a winding connection hook (18), and wherein the first body (12) grasps the winding connection hook (18) of the second body (14) in the axial direction. The invention further relates to an electrical machine, in particular a direct current motor, having the flat commutator (10) according to the invention, and to a method for mounting the flat commutator (10) onto a shaft (26) of an electrical machine, in particular of a direct current motor.
