The method mainly comprises the first step of calculating a transmission diagram T through a He method, and solving a luminance diagram L of an original foggy image, the second step of plotting histograms for the transmission diagram T and the luminance diagram L, obtaining the histogram HistoT and the histogram HistoL, and calculating a transmittance upper-limit threshold THHigh and a luminance lower-limit threshold THlow according to the HistoT and the HistoL, the third step of separating a sky region of the image according to the THHigh and the THlow to obtain the sky region RSky of the image, the fourth step of conducting self-adaptive correction on the transmittance in the separated RSky to obtain a more accurate transmission diagram TRefine, and the fifth step of defogging the image through the He method according to the transmission diagram TRefine. The method can solve the problem of color cast of the sky region in the defogged image.
