Binding device and paper binding method

The characterizing areas of the present invention are, in particular: a feature wherein a linking part, which faces downward from the lower end of a left and right set of lifting blocks that raise and lower a first operating part, is open on the front side and has the role of integrally connecting the lifting blocks and perforating blades; and a feature wherein a second operating part is provided with an upper pressing block that is positioned so as to be sandwiched by the perforating blades with the lifting blocks and linking part therebetween, and holds a wire for paper stitches, which are supplied through an open region of the linking part from the lateral side or front side of said operating part in a state in which the wire for paper stitches is sandwiched from the top and bottom, and a stitch leg forming block that doubles as a lower pedestal. Furthermore, in the latter feature, after paper has been perforated with insertion holes for paper stitches by the perforating blades with which the lifting blocks are integrally provided, both sides bend, and paper stitches that form insertion legs in a substantially downward U shape are pushed into the stitch insertion holes of the paper.
