The invention discloses an account management method and an electronic device. The account management method comprises the following steps: establishing a first-level account of a first user used for logging in a server; establishing at least one second-level account of the first user based on at least an identity of the first user, wherein each of the second-level accounts is associated with one identity of the first user, and the at least one second-level account is managed by the first user by virtue of the first-level account; determining second information corresponding to each second-level account so as to enable the first user to display the second information in a network platform. According to the embodiment of the invention, the second-level account is established based on the identity of the user, privacy of the user can be better protected, convenience is brought to management, and maintenance cost of the user can be reduced.
