A detection unit (2) of a position-measuring device includes a housing (23) having a detector (22) configured to generate position-dependent detection signals. An electrical lead (25) passes out through the housing (23) and leads the detection signals out. A rotatable member (3), in which the electrical lead (25) is routed, is rotatably mounted on the housing (23) about an axis of rotation extending in the measurement direction. The rotatable member (3) has two sections (31, 32), wherein the rotatable member (3) is arranged on the housing (23) by means of the first section (31) and a second section (32) beding 90 degrees relative to the first section (31).
