Carcass reinforcement for an aircraft tyre

The invention concerns an improvement in the endurance of the carcass reinforcement (5) of an aircraft tyre (1), in the bending zone of the bead (3) on the rim (4). This tyre comprises a carcass reinforcement (5) having two families of layers (51 and 52) extending between the two beads, the first family comprising at least one layer which winds, from the inside to the outside of the tyre, around a rod (6), the free end (E1) of the turn-up (511) being radially outside the radially outermost point (E) of the rod, the second family comprising at least two layers extending, in each bead (3), from the outside to the inside of the tyre, to the respective ends (E2) of same radially inside an axial line (DY) passing through the centre (O) of the rod and axially inside a radial line (Dz) passing through the centre of the rod at an axial distance (d2) at least equal to 5 mm. The carcass layers (52) of the second family are axially inside at least one turn-up (511).
