The present invention discloses a method for providing product service information, a client and a server, belonging to the field of information technology. The method comprises: scanning a product code corresponding to a product, the product code comprising product basic information of the product therein, the product basic information comprising at least identification information of the product; analyzing the product code to obtain the product basic information; sending the product basic information to a social server, the social server acquiring the product service information corresponding to the product and a viewing access corresponding to the product service information according to the product basic information, the product service information comprising at least merchant information associated with the product; receiving the product service information corresponding to the product and the viewing access returned from the social server; and displaying the product service information and the viewing access corresponding to the product service information. In the present invention, the product basic information is sent to the social server, and the product service information corresponding to the product is acquired by the social server, thus providing more comprehensive product service information, more convenient and efficient operation and higher efficiency.
