The invention discloses a counter-flow cooling dry type Roots vacuum pump comprising a case, wherein an air inlet is formed in the upper part of the case, and an air exhaust opening is formed in the lower part of the case; the case is internally provided with a driving impeller and a driven impeller, the driving impeller and the driven impeller are arranged in a working chamber in the case, and the working chamber comprises a driving impeller working chamber and a driven impeller working chamber; two ends of the case are provided with left and right counter-flow cooling structure wall boards; and the inner sides of the left and right counter-flow cooling structure wall boards are correspondingly provided with counter-flow cooling structure side plates, and counter-flow openings are respectively and correspondingly formed between each of the left and right counter-flow cooling structure wall boards and the corresponding one of the counter-flow cooling structure side plates which are arranged on the left and right counter-flow cooling structure wall boards, and between the driving impeller working chamber and the driven impeller working chamber; and the driving impeller working chamber and the driven impeller working chamber are respectively communicated with the inner parts of the left and right counter-flow cooling structure wall boards by virtue of the counter-flow openings. The counter-flow cooling dry type Roots vacuum pump disclosed by the invention has the characteristics of simple structure, convenience in use, small floor area and convenience in operation and maintenance.
