The invention discloses a self-cooling vertical cutter which comprises a cutter body. A plurality of sealed spiral cavities which wind each other are arranged in the cutter body. One end of each cavity extends to the cutting edge position of the cutter body, and the other end of each cavity extends to the tail portion of the cutter body. Low-boiling-point heat exchange liquid is filled in all the cavities, the volume of the low-boiling-point heat exchange liquid in the cavities is 0.2-0.3 that of the cavities, and a plurality of grooves distributed in the extending direction of the cavities are arranged on the inner wall of each cavity. The self-cooling vertical cutter is good in the cooling effect and environmentally friendly.
