The invention relates to a permanent magnet internal drum type magnetic separator, comprising a frame, a drum fixed on the frame and a motor in transmission connection with the drum, wherein a magnetic system matched with the drum is also arranged on the frame along the rotating direction of the drum, the cross section of the magnetic system is L-shaped, the inner surface of the magnetic system has radian, the drum is wrapped in the magnetic system and is not in contact with the magnetic system, a feeding passage and a discharging passage which are communicated with the drum are respectively formed on the frame at two ends of the drum, a discharge chute for conveying a magnetic material is also arranged in the drum, and a discharge passage communicated with the discharge chute is formed on the frame. Compared with a traditional drum type magnetic separator, the permanent magnet internal drum type magnetic separator has the advantages of high recovery rate of magnetic minerals, simple structure and lower cost, and is convenient to install and maintain.
